BRAVESTAR®
Theatre, music, art, and community are my foundation.
My first gig as a creative director was in the 4th grade. I assembled my friends at recess to rehearse a 30-minute play I wrote based on The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. One day, my teacher looked outside and noticed a theatrical production in the works. A week later, we showed the whole school. That’s where it all began.
My passion for performing and producing art to make a difference in people drives me forward.
After graduating from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, I wanted to make the world a better place through my love for art and public service. I decided to dive as deep as I could into something I knew would challenge my talents.
Military service forged, tested, and expanded my talents beyond the classroom.
I earned a decade of experience in public affairs, crisis response, and health science while serving honorably in the U.S. Navy. I was commended for my leadership in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-wide community health programs and preventive medicine resources for Sailors, Marines, and their families. I helped thousands of people learn, understand, and take action to prevent disease. Then came the pandemic.
Serving on the front lines of uniformed public health during crisis, I learned to value the trust, clarity, and precision required to deliver critical health information and save lives. I was inspired to study how the science of communication, media, and sociology can support health equity and strengthen community.
No matter the stage, it’s about making a difference.
I graduated in 2022 with a Master of Arts in Communication from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Today, I advise and apply evidence-based strategies and communication tactics to global & local organizations, humanitarian projects, community engagement frameworks, and public health research activities. I work alongside academics, scientists, activists, community leaders, business owners, and executives. I am especially passionate about how science and data inform ideas and systems to help people.
Art is always the centerpiece.
Audiences and individuals make choices about products, people, and experiences that inspire them. Art and media are major ingredients. My hope is to inspire positive change in every room. I leverage my creative experience, artistic talent, military precision, and academic background in every project I touch.
I CONFESS, BUSINESS IS NOT MY FIRST LOVE.
